Building Stronger Communities Through Service
Community involvement isn’t a one-time event at Messner Flooring. It’s an ongoing commitment.
That’s why Ted Messner regularly participates in Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity’s Leaders Build Days, joining fellow business and community leaders several times each year to help create affordable homeownership opportunities throughout Rochester.
Most recently, Ted volunteered at a build in Rochester’s Beechwood neighborhood. The project came at an exciting time for Habitat for Humanity, which recently celebrated the completion of its 350th home in Rochester, located just around the corner from the current build site.
Showing Up Year After Year
Over the years, Ted has participated in numerous Leaders Build events, working alongside volunteers, future homeowners, and local leaders who share a common goal: strengthening our community through affordable housing.
For Ted, these build days offer an opportunity to step away from the office, pick up a hammer, and contribute directly to a project that will have a lasting impact on a local family.
“One of the things I appreciate most about Habitat is seeing so many people come together to support a common purpose,” Ted said. “Every build day is a reminder of what can happen when a community works together.”
Celebrating a Milestone for Rochester
The recent build also highlighted an incredible achievement for Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity. The organization recently completed its 350th home in the city, marking decades of dedication to helping families achieve the dream of homeownership.
That milestone represents far more than houses. It represents stability, opportunity, and a stronger future for hundreds of Rochester families.
